Autovisory is a boutique business advisory firm advising companies on international trade, supply chain onshoring, net zero carbon, due diligence, and government relations. We help companies comply with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), successfully navigate and shape government policies and regulations, and benefit from international trade negotiations and agreements. Autovisory also provides due diligence services for potential partnership and investment opportunities created by international trade agreements, industry transformation, and changing government policies and regulations.

Leadership

Fred Fischer is the founding partner of Autovisory. Mr. Fischer previously served as Deputy Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for American Competitiveness and Enterprise in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in the Executive Office of the President. Fred served for 15 years as a senior economic and trade counselor to the U.S. Trade Representative and The White House. He helped develop, negotiate, and implement advanced trade policies involving market access, trade promotion, trade remedies, rules of origin, export controls, sanctions, customs compliance, and enforcement. Fred also counseled senior political and career officials on economic, trade, legislative, and regulatory activities impacting U.S. industries.

Mr. Fischer co-led the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) automotive rules of origin negotiations for the United States and has deep knowledge and understanding of the rules, regulations, and compliance procedures of the USMCA. He has extensive experience working with industries and businesses and is a trusted advisor to companies on trade and economic matters.

Prior to his tenure at USTR, Mr. Fischer served as a Senior International Trade Analyst at the U.S. International Trade Commission, where he led trade investigations concerning manufacturing, technology, and agricultural industries to determine import relief under U.S. countervailing duty, antidumping, and safeguard laws. He directed cross-functional teams in analyzing the impact of imports on U.S. industries, and closely examined business operations, finance, marketing, and supply chains to determine industry, market, and corporate economic performance.

Mr. Fischer earned a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University – School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Bucknell University.
